Expert Panel Recommends Upgradation of SWAYAM to a Virtual University

To meet the growing demand for quality education in the country, an expert panel has proposed transforming the HRD Ministry’s free e-learning platform SWAYAM to a virtual university. The proposal is part of ministry’s five-year vision ‘Education Quality Upgradation and Inclusion Program’. The proposal talks about reconstitution of SWAYAM into an autonomous organization under the ministry for singular focus on online education.
