Pearson, education textbook publishing giant has planned to abandon traditional textbook publishing model and adopt digital-first strategy. The UK-based publisher has announced that it will end all regular revisions for its printed textbooks and focus more on digital course materials. The British education publisher hopes the move will make more students buy its e-textbooks which will be updated more frequently, offering AI capabilities, data analytics and research.
