Planet Spark Joins Hands with OYO to Provide Next-Gen Learning Spaces

The edtech start-up is set to become the OYO of tuition industry in the country. It is to revamp the face of K-8 neighbourhood tuition classes into new-age learning spaces with its tie-up with OYO through a blended learning approach and a standardised learning experience.

After receiving seed funding of Rs.1.6 crore from FIITJEE, coaching institute for IIT-JEE preparations and collaborating with India’s largest hospitality partner OYO, Planet Spark is on an aggressive splurge to transform the traditional and unorganised tuition sector into new-age learning spaces. It plans to do this by providing in-house training and technology assistance to neighbourhood tuition centres and home-tuition providers for students who register with them). On the other hand, it assists parents in finding a certified Planet Spark tutor through its digital platform and mobile app. Thereby, intending to become the OYO of tuition industry in the country.

Blended-Learning Approach

The edtech company has come up with a blended-learning approach to make tuitions more exciting and interesting. It employs full-stack tutoring model and empowers educated homemakers and qualified private tutors with their gamified learning content, mobile learning apps, educational cartoons, school aligned learning workbooks, board games and activity boxes. With the help of OYO it will further standardize the learning environment in all its learning spaces for which OYO is already known as in hospitality industry. Each of the registered Planet Spark learning spaces will have soothing and child friendly interiors and furniture to enhance learning backed by OYO.

Swift Growth

Planet Spark is growing leaps and bounds since its inception. Founded by Manish Dhooper and Kunal Malik, the Gurugram-based edTech company has already created 400 learning centres across the seven major metropolitan cities. This is projected to double to more than 800 in the coming years in order to fulfil the demand being generated on its mobile app from parents and other stakeholders. According to a statement given by co-founder Manish Dhooper, over 1000 parents registered for Plant Spark certified tuitions for their pre-teen children during the pre-launch phase itself. It has also been recognized among the top-10 most promising education app in 2018 by Silicon India magazine.
